Caroline McFarlane

I am a portrait artist, who gets tempted by other subject matter.

I started drawing portraits at the age of 15 and love the compelling challenge of capturing a likeness, whatever the medium.

I work in oil, pastel, watercolour, pencil and charcoal sometimes separately, and then sometimes I mix them together, exploring what the mediums can do for the subject in a combination of traditional and experimental application. I also dabble with print making.
